The renowned travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler has listed 21 of the cheapest travel destinations for tourists in 2024, and Vietnam is one of them.

According to Condé Nast Traveler , many factors need to be considered when planning a vacation, from finding affordable travel destinations and destination safety to hotel and service options. But whether you like it or not, the most important factor influencing travelers' decisions is cost. Based on traveler demand, the American travel magazine has introduced 21 of the cheapest travel destinations for 2024, including Vietnam.

Condé Nast Traveler stated: “Currently, many Southeast Asian countries offer great deals for travelers using US dollars. However, we recommend Vietnam – partly because of the steadily increasing exchange rate, but largely because of the country’s incredible beauty.” Hanoi is considered the most romantic city in the country. Nevertheless, the American magazine suggests that adventurous travelers visit other unique destinations in Vietnam such as Ninh Van Bay and Phu Quoc, with their pristine beaches and romantic resorts. Not only praised for their affordability, many of Vietnam’s famous destinations have also received international recognition. Recently, Times Travel of India honored Hoi An, Ha Long Bay, and Sa Pa among the top 50 most beautiful travel destinations to visit in 2024. At number 21 on the list, Hoi An was described by Times Travel as a destination of ancient streets illuminated by lanterns and historical architecture. Here, visitors can take a boat ride along the picturesque Thu Bon River and enjoy delicious street food .

Ranked 23rd among UNESCO World Heritage sites, Ha Long Bay boasts emerald waters and thousands of limestone mountains of diverse shapes. Cruising on Ha Long Bay, visitors can explore floating fishing villages and discover hidden caves. Ranked 45th, Sa Pa (Lao Cai) offers enchanting scenery with its picturesque terraced rice fields. Sa Pa is also home to many indigenous ethnic groups with unique cultural traditions and distinctive cuisine.
