A delegation from the Hanoi Department of Tourism, along with 12 travel agencies and airlines, participated in the fair to introduce and promote culture, tourism, and aviation.
With the theme "Hanoi - Come to Love - Hanoi venir pour aimer," the Hanoi booth showcased numerous images, videos, traditional handicrafts, cuisine, and publications on culture and tourism. At the fair, the Hanoi Department of Tourism also collaborated with Vietnam Airlines and other businesses to organize a conference introducing destinations and promoting tourism development cooperation.
In addition, the Hanoi Department of Tourism delegation also carried out many activities to promote and connect cooperation with the Ile-de-France Capital Region, the city of Versailles, and European partners in the fields of tourism, aviation, and media; and conducted surveys to learn from experiences in managing, preserving heritage, and developing tourism.
Speaking with a VNA reporter in Paris, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to France Dinh Toan Thang expressed his hope that through this fair, with the active and dynamic participation of travel companies, more French and international tourists will come to Vietnam, thereby enhancing Vietnam's position on the international tourism map.
Mr. Nguyen Tran Quang, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, said that sending a delegation to participate in the Top Resa International Tourism Fair aims to promote and attract European tourists, especially French-speaking tourists. This is one of the solutions for Hanoi to achieve its goal of attracting 7.8 million international tourists this year.
Mr. Pierre Sauvage, President of the Association of French Airlines (BAR France), said that he has a deep connection with and love for Vietnam. Having lived in Ho Chi Minh City when he was young, he has always been interested in and fond of Vietnam's development, and for him, Vietnam is always the best destination in the world.
Meanwhile, Adeline, a representative of Club Méditerranée, France's largest travel agency, shared that they have included Vietnamese destinations in their tour programs for many years. Adeline assessed Vietnam as a market with great potential and has received much positive feedback from French tourists. Vietnam is a major destination for French visitors during the winter, with its strengths being its diversity: offering cultural experiences, scenic landscapes, and authentic encounters with the local people.
According to official figures and forecasts, IFTM Top Resa is the world's leading tourism event, bringing together over 3,000 tourism and travel agencies from more than 100 countries and over 32,000 tourism professionals from many nations. Participating in IFTM Top Resa 2025 is a crucial opportunity to promote Hanoi – Vietnam's heritage and creative capital – affirming its image as a safe, friendly, and attractive destination; while also expanding the French and European tourist market, attracting high-quality tourists, and strengthening international connections and cooperation in sustainable tourism development.
