In 2024, with relentless efforts, Vietcombank continued to affirm its position as the number one bank in Vietnam in terms of quality and operational efficiency, with total assets exceeding 2 trillion VND, leading profits in the banking industry, and the best asset quality in the system. With outstanding business results, Vietcombank is one of the largest contributors to the state budget, solidifying its position among the top 100 banks by market capitalization globally, and is the highest-ranked Vietnamese enterprise in the Top 1000 largest public companies globally.

In November 2024, Vietcombank became the first bank in Vietnam to issue green bonds in accordance with domestic law, while voluntarily complying with the International Capital Markets Association (ICMA) Green Bond Principles – affirming its pioneering role in the field of green finance. The bank continues to expand its green credit portfolio, focusing on financing renewable energy projects, sustainable infrastructure, and clean production. By the end of 2024, Vietcombank's green credit outstanding reached nearly VND 47,600 billion – more than four times higher than in 2020, accounting for 3.3% of total outstanding loans; of which 84.7% was allocated to renewable energy and clean energy projects.
Simultaneously, Vietcombank is accelerating comprehensive digital transformation to optimize operations, improve resource efficiency, and minimize carbon emissions. The bank is also gradually standardizing its Sustainable Development Reports according to international practices such as GRI and TCFD, while focusing on training ESG specialists, contributing to building a sustainable development culture throughout the system.
