Báo Nhân dânBáo Nhân dân10/10/2024

Viettel Group said that Viettel fully contributes and accounts for a large proportion of the country's mobile, Internet, and data infrastructure. Viettel aims to develop the largest and safest digital infrastructure with the most advanced technology including transmission infrastructure, storage infrastructure, and computing, thereby forming digital service platforms and ecosystems to serve digital transformation nationwide, meeting the national strategy on digital economy and digital society.

Not only contributing about 40% of 4G mobile infrastructure in Vietnam, Viettel also invests and exploits submarine optical cables, contributing over 50% of Vietnam's international capacity when the ADC (Asia Direct Cable) line comes into operation in early 2025.

Regarding data infrastructure, Viettel owns and operates 14 data centers with the largest capacity with a total capacity of 87MW, serving the development of big data processing applications and artificial intelligence. Viettel is also the first enterprise to develop green data centers in Vietnam, reducing emissions for high-performance computing tasks.

Viettel is planning to launch a 5G network in 63/63 provinces and cities in October, develop 24 data centers with a total capacity of 560 MW (Vietnam's total capacity is currently 150 MW) and four new submarine optical cable lines to meet 60% of Vietnam's international connection needs by 2030.
