Female student beaten by a group in Ho Chi Minh City: Family demands strict punishment for group of students

(NLDO) - The students who participated in the beating of a female student expressed remorse and accepted all forms of discipline from the school.

On the afternoon of November 5, a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that regarding the case of a female student being beaten up in a school restroom, An Dien Secondary School had a detailed report on the incident.

Accordingly, the clip was spread on social networks due to a conflict while lining up in the gym class of class 8A9 on Friday afternoon, October 31, when the gym teacher scolded and threatened to tell the parents.

After that, the group of students made an appointment to go to the school restroom to "take care of it".

On November 3, the school board invited the parents and students involved to a meeting. The students who participated in the beating of the female student expressed remorse and accepted all forms of disciplinary action from the school.

The parents of this group of students also apologized to the beaten female student and her family, promised to re-educate their children, and cover all treatment, medicine and travel costs.

However, the parents of the beaten female student still maintain their opinion of expelling the group of students who beat their child and invited the police to get involved.

The school principal also accepted all responsibility and pledged to the parents to strictly handle the above group of students.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhat Hang, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the health of the beaten female student is still stable and she is going to school as usual.
