Ly Lao Giang (born in 1978, residing in Lao Xa Phinh commune, Tua Chua district, Dien Bien province) has just been arrested by Dien Bien Provincial Police for drug trafficking.
Notably, Ly Lao Giang has a criminal record for the same offense. He has just served a 16-year prison sentence for "Illegal drug trafficking" and was released in 2022.
However, old habits die hard, when arrested by the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Dien Bien Provincial Police on the afternoon of July 22 in Sa Long commune, Muong Cha district, Ly Lao Giang confessed that he had bought 5 heroin cakes from a Lao man (name unknown) in the border area and was on his way to sell them.
The case is currently being investigated and expanded by the police.
