At the program, more than 300 people were examined by a team of doctors from the Provincial General Hospital, members of the Young Physicians Association of Lang Son province and Ho Chi Minh City for diseases related to internal medicine - surgery, bones and joints, cardiovascular, respiratory... People were also advised on nutrition, scientific lifestyle and instructions on how to prevent seasonal epidemics and common diseases.
Through examination, many cases of detected diseases were given free medicine, treatment advice and recommendations to go to medical facilities when necessary.
Within the framework of the program, the organizing committee presented 100 gifts to households in difficult circumstances with a total value of 50 million VND; donated 100 macadamia seedlings worth 5 million VND to Ba Son Border Guard Station; and also presented milk, dishwashing liquid and some essential items to the people.
The program not only provides timely medical and material support to people in border areas but also spreads the spirit of volunteering for community health of young doctors. Thereby creating conditions for people, especially the elderly and the disadvantaged, to have more convenient access to healthcare, contributing to raising awareness, protecting health and building a strong life in border areas.
