The Party Committee of Gào commune was established by merging three Party Committees: Gào commune, Ia Kênh commune (formerly Pleiku City), and Ia Pếch commune (formerly Ia Grai district); with 32 subordinate Party organizations and 480 Party members. The total natural area of the commune is 182.47 km², with a population of 15,957 people, and the percentage of ethnic minorities is 64%.
Achieved and exceeded most targets for the 2020-2025 term.
From the beginning of the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committees of the three communes consistently paid attention to and directed the implementation of comprehensive solutions for propaganda and education, enhancing political fortitude and unwavering commitment to the Party's reform line for cadres and Party members; strengthening unity within the Party committee and consensus among all strata of the people. They promptly disseminated and concretized resolutions of Party congresses at all levels, as well as resolutions, directives, conclusions, and regulations of the Party, and organized their implementation, achieving significant results. The work of developing Party members was emphasized, with 82 new members admitted during the term.
In particular, the commune has effectively implemented the policy of streamlining the political system's organizational structure to ensure efficient and effective operation, creating a clear transformation in leadership and management.

Based on the potential of fertile land and abundant labor force, the communes have identified agriculture as the main industry. Coffee continues to be affirmed as the key crop. At the same time, they are promoting the transformation of crop structure and applying science and technology to production. Many effective models have been implemented, such as grafting multiple stems on coffee plants and intercropping fruit trees to increase economic value.
Livestock farming remained stable, and disease prevention and control measures were implemented regularly. As a result, agricultural production value increased steadily every year. By the end of 2024, the average per capita income of Gào commune (formerly) reached 70 million VND (100% of the target), Ia Kênh commune (formerly) 50.4 million VND (105% of the target), and Ia Pếch commune (formerly) 50.74 million VND (195% of the target).
Commercial and service activities have developed, and the quality of services has improved, contributing to expanding production linkages with consumption, meeting the needs of the people, and promoting local economic growth. The communes have also facilitated investment in the development of industries, renewable energy, agricultural processing, and mechanical engineering, creating jobs for local workers. Annual budget revenue has met and exceeded targets.
In addition, national target programs on building new rural areas, sustainable poverty reduction, and development of ethnic minority and mountainous regions have been implemented synchronously, receiving the consensus of the people, contributing to the increasingly vibrant appearance of rural areas, and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people, especially in ethnic minority villages. Infrastructure such as transportation, irrigation, electricity, schools, and health stations have been invested in. To date, 6 out of 17 villages have met the new rural area standards according to the new set of criteria.
Significant progress has been made in the socio-cultural sector; social security policies have been fully implemented, and the poverty rate has decreased to 3.52%. National defense and security have been maintained, and social order and safety have been ensured.
Economic breakthroughs, cultural preservation.
Entering the 2025-2030 period, with the motto "Unity - Democracy - Responsibility - Breakthrough - Development," the Party Committee of Gào commune has identified the following goals: improving the quality of life for its people, developing sustainable socio-economic conditions, linked with building advanced new rural areas; preserving cultural identity; promoting digital transformation and environmental protection; maintaining national defense and security; and building a clean and strong Party.

The commune's Party Committee has identified four key programs and six specific tasks.
Accordingly, the Party Committee will continue to strengthen the work of disseminating and educating revolutionary traditions to cadres, Party members, and all strata of the people; proactively combat erroneous and hostile viewpoints, and firmly protect the ideological foundation of the Party. It will strictly implement the principle of democratic centralism in Party organization and activities, linking the work of building, consolidating, and strengthening Party organizations with increasing the recruitment of new Party members; and building strong and comprehensive villages and hamlets.
Notably, economically, the commune focuses on developing according to the following structure: agriculture; trade - services - tourism; and small-scale handicrafts. It thoroughly implements and concretizes Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025, of the Politburo on strongly developing the private economy as an important driving force of the national economy.
This includes focusing on developing agriculture towards commodity production, linking production along the value chain, applying high technology, clean and organic farming to production, increasing added value and product quality; doing a good job of crop planning and organizing production to achieve efficiency. Actively transforming the crop structure to suit market needs; effectively implementing programs, schemes, and projects to support businesses, cooperatives, and households in developing high-tech agriculture and producing agricultural products with VietGAP, GlobalGAP certification, etc., associated with product quality control and traceability. Focusing on reviewing, adjusting, and effectively implementing the commune's general planning project until 2030 and the annual land use plan, ensuring the exploitation of the commune's potential and advantages.
Regarding infrastructure, the commune continues to effectively implement the motto "The State and the People work together," investing in upgrading roads and rural infrastructure projects to meet the criteria of advanced new rural development.
In addition, strengthen the management of the cultural sector, promote information and communication through diverse and appropriate forms. Continue to maintain and preserve the national cultural identity, and effectively exploit the existing tourism potential of the locality…
Implement reforms, improve the quality of education, apply information technology in teaching and learning, and prioritize traditional education in ethics, lifestyle, and skills.
