Gasoline price increased by more than 500 VND/liter, oil price decreased simultaneously

From 3:00 p.m. on December 4, gasoline prices were adjusted up, RON95-III gasoline cost 20,460 VND/liter, while oil prices decreased.

Specifically, after the adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, E5RON92 gasoline increased by 534 VND/liter compared to the current base price, the selling price is not higher than 19,822 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline is not higher than 20,460 VND/liter (an increase of 451 VND/liter compared to the current base price).

On the contrary, the prices of oil types are adjusted down, diesel 0.05S is not higher than 18,380 VND/liter (down 420 VND/liter compared to the current base price); Kerosene is not higher than 18,893 VND/liter (down 580 VND/liter compared to the current base price); Mazut 180CST 3.5S: not higher than 13,436 VND/kg (down 52 VND/kg compared to the current base price).

In this operating period, in light of the above-mentioned developments in world oil prices, fluctuations in the VND/USD exchange rate and current regulations, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance decided not to set aside or use the Oil Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, and fuel oil.

In the previous adjustment period, on November 27, gasoline and oil prices decreased simultaneously. E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 519 VND/liter, not higher than 19,288 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline was not higher than 20,009 VND/liter (down 533 VND/liter).

All types of oil are also adjusted down, diesel 0.05S is not higher than 18,800 VND/liter (down 1,026 VND/liter); kerosene is down 815 VND/liter, not higher than 19,473 VND/liter; mazut 180CST 3.5S is not higher than 13,488 VND/kg (down 251 VND/kg).

The world oil market in this operating period (from November 27, 2025 to December 3, 2025) is affected by key factors such as: OPEC+ decided to maintain the oil production level until the end of 2026; increasing tensions between the US and Venezuela; the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues; the US and Russia failed to reach an agreement to end the conflict in Ukraine... The above factors have caused world oil prices in recent days to increase and decrease depending on each product.

The average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the price adjustment period of November 27, 2025 and the adjustment period of December 4, 2025 is: 79,510 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (up 2,814 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 3.67%); 81,832 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (up 2,276 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 2.86%); 88,582 USD/barrel of kerosene (down 3,324 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 3.62%); 86,098 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel oil (down 2,416 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.73%); 344,576 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (down 2,004 USD/ton, equivalent to a decrease of 0.58%).
