At the ceremony, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang emphasized: The transformation of the People's Public Security University of Engineering and Logistics into the Academy of Security Engineering and Technology is an important milestone, a turning point, demonstrating the strategic vision and determination of the Party, the State, the Central Public Security Party Committee, and the Ministry of Public Security in building the Academy into a worthy training center for security science , technology, and technology, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation; opening a new chapter for the strong development of the school in the following years.

According to Minister Luong Tam Quang, the current situation requires an urgent need to build a center for scientific and technological research and training of high-quality human resources in the People's Public Security Forces at the regional level. Based on careful consideration and assessment, the Central Party Committee of the Public Security and the Ministry of Public Security decided to upgrade and build the People's Public Security University of Technology and Logistics into a training center for human resources to ensure digital sovereignty, network security, data security, and information security not only in the People's Public Security Forces but also in the political system, effectively serving the development of the country's strategic industries and technologies. This transformation is the first step, creating momentum for the Academy to strive to fulfill its glorious responsibility in the new era of development of the country.

Minister Luong Tam Quang suggested that the school's Board of Directors need to unify their awareness of the glorious and honorable responsibility of the Academy in the new revolutionary period of the country. Each leader, commander, cadre and lecturer of the school must be dedicated, devoted, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, make creative breakthroughs, strive, overcome all difficulties and challenges, join hands to build the Academy to soon reach the scale and stature, with the capacity to meet the expectations of the Party, the State and the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security. The school focuses on implementing the goal of completing the construction of the Academy into a center for scientific and technological research and training of high-quality human resources in the security industry at the regional level by 2030.

Minister Luong Tam Quang suggested that the Academy urgently plan a comprehensive roadmap, steps, solutions, resources, and output products; strive to build the Academy into a "technical and technological brain", a place to research, test, and create effective technical and technological solutions for security and order protection. Research topics and scientific works must aim for practical effectiveness, with the ability to be applied immediately in professional work, contributing to improving the capacity to forecast, analyze, monitor, and handle traditional and non-traditional security situations.

The Academy must concretize and effectively implement the Party's viewpoint on "Building a modern national education system on par with the region and the world" and "breakthrough in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation"; strive to become a leading unit in the People's Public Security to implement Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthrough in education and training development dated August 22, 2025 on breakthrough in education and training development with specific results and products.

In addition, the school focuses on building a team of highly qualified lecturers and scientists who are capable of leading the profession, inspiring and orienting scientific thinking - innovative thinking for learners. The school strives to form a team of leading experts in each key security industry field by 2030.
