According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the province currently has 701 rooftop solar power systems in operation, with a total capacity of 61,479 kWp. Many households have proactively installed electricity storage systems to effectively use renewable energy, save costs and protect the environment.

Delegates visited the NTF Hoang Phat building model and the ELITE HILL Urban Area Project applying green building solutions.

NTF Hoang Phat Building in Son La city is a typical green building, saving 74% of energy, 25% of water and reducing 51% of energy contained in materials. With more than 20 design solutions, advanced technology and environmentally friendly materials, the project has been certified EDGE ADVANCED by the International Finance Corporation (IFC - World Bank) right from the design stage. These solutions will be applied at the ELITE HILL Urban Area Project (16.04 ha, construction density 30%), fully integrated with utilities: housing, commercial services, high-class accommodation, conference center, green space and sports area.

The workshop aims to raise awareness of renewable energy solutions, especially civil storage systems, for investors and businesses; promote the application of clean energy technology in life and production, towards a sustainable, energy-saving and environmentally friendly community.
