TPO – On September 22nd, officers and soldiers from various units departed to return to their posts. Thousands of people in Yen Bai lined both sides of the route the convoy took to express their gratitude and bid farewell with heartfelt emotion.

After more than 10 days of effort, together with the Party Committee, the government, and the people of Yen Bai city, to overcome the consequences of typhoon No. 3, and after the recovery work was basically completed, the officers and soldiers of the army units have set off to return to their units.

On the morning of September 22nd, despite the rain, thousands of residents of Hong Ha ward lined Tran Hung Dao street to bid farewell to the officers and soldiers of the 316th Division, 355th Division, 168th Brigade, 297th Brigade, 604th Brigade, and Military Region 2, who were returning to their units after days of wading through mud and dirt, assisting the people in overcoming the consequences of Typhoon No. 3.

Following the historic rain and flooding caused by Typhoon No. 3, more than 1,000 military officers and soldiers, with over 12,000 man-days and 325 vehicles, were mobilized to mitigate the consequences of the floods in Yen Bai province.

Speaking at the farewell meeting, Mr. Ngo Hanh Phuc, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province, respectfully thanked the officers and soldiers for their affection and noble gestures, reflecting the strong bond between the military and the people, and the shining qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers."
