Yen Nhi unexpectedly makes a comeback, likely to enter top 20

(Dan Tri) - The Miss Grand International pageant has just started the Country's Power of the Year voting. Currently, Yen Nhi - representative of Vietnam - is among the 3 contestants with the highest number of votes.

The Country's Power of the Year voting is one of the interesting sideline activities that attracts special attention in Miss Grand International seasons.

The voting will go through the top 20, top 10, top 5, top 2 and finally choose the winner. The winner of the Country's Power of the Year category will have the opportunity to go straight to the top 20 before the final.

In previous seasons, Vietnamese representatives often appeared in the top 20 of the Country's Power of the Year voting. In particular, Miss Doan Thien An of Vietnam entered the top 20 of Miss Grand International 2022 thanks to winning this voting.

According to the rules of the Organizing Committee, fans are allowed to like the photos of contestants posted on the Facebook and Instagram pages of the Miss Grand International contest. The contestant with the most likes will win this contest.

As of the morning of October 9, Yen Nhi - representing Vietnam - is among the contestants with the highest number of votes in the Country's Power of the Year category. She has received more than 60,000 likes on Facebook.

The Philippines is currently leading the rankings with 131,000 likes, followed by Thailand with nearly 73,000 likes. Round 1 of the Country's Power of the Year voting will end on the evening of October 9.

As of the morning of October 9, on the Miss popular vote chart, Yen Nhi received 1% of votes from the audience watching the Miss Grand International 2025 contest.

However, this number does not help the Vietnamese beauty to be in the top 10 of Miss popular vote. This is a paid voting part. The winner of this part will have the opportunity to go straight to the top 10 of this year's contest before the final night.

Despite facing a lot of pressure, Yen Nhi still maintained a positive spirit and tried to perform in the sideline activities of the contest. On her personal page, she continuously posted pictures of the contest but stopped livestreaming (broadcasting online).

Previously, on October 5, Yen Nhi posted a letter of apology to the audience for her incomplete statements, expressing her wish for the public to understand and continue to support her in the upcoming journey.

On the evening of October 7, she and more than 70 contestants wore traditional Thai costumes to participate in a fashion show, impressing with their bright smiles and confident demeanor.

On October 8, the Vietnamese representative participated in filming for the outdoor activities of the Miss Grand International 2025 organization with other contestants. Here, Yen Nhi posed youthfully in a swimsuit.

On the morning of October 9, Yen Nhi entered the Swimsuit Competition with 76 other contestants. After that, she continued to go through the sub-competitions such as: National Costume Performance and Private Interview before entering the semi-finals on October 15 and the finals taking place on the evening of October 18 in Bangkok (Thailand).

Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi (born 2004) was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2025 in mid-September. She has 2 weeks to prepare for Miss Grand International 2025.

Before becoming a beauty queen, Yen Nhi was a photo model, worked with many fashion brands and won second place in a photo contest. The 21-year-old beauty is 1.72m tall, with measurements of 81-64-92cm.

Yen Nhi is currently a 3rd year student majoring in Tourism and Travel Services Management, Van Hien University (HCMC).
