Khanh Hoa – Authorities are preparing a dossier to consider recognizing Ninh Phuoc commune (formed by merging Ninh Van and Ninh Phuoc communes) as a Heroic Unit of the People's Armed Forces.
On October 12th, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province announced that it had issued a directive on the implementation of the National Assembly Standing Committee's resolution on the reorganization of commune-level administrative units in Khanh Hoa province for the period 2023-2025.
Regarding the matters requiring immediate implementation after the National Assembly Standing Committee's resolution, Khanh Hoa province has assigned the Department of Internal Affairs, Ninh Hoa town, and Dien Khanh district to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to urgently review and prepare dossiers requesting the recognition of Ninh Phuoc commune (formed by merging Ninh Van and Ninh Phuoc communes) as a Heroic Unit of the People's Armed Forces and the recognition of the commune-level administrative unit as a mountainous area (if eligible).
On September 28, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly issued Resolution No. 1196 on the reorganization of commune-level administrative units in Khanh Hoa province.
According to the resolution, Khanh Hoa province will reorganize 12 commune-level administrative units to form 5 new commune-level administrative units, reducing the number by 7. For Nha Trang city, Phuong Son ward will be merged into Phuong Sai ward; Xuong Huan ward and Van Thang ward will be merged into Van Thanh ward; and Tan Tien ward will be established by merging Phuoc Tien ward, Tan Lap ward, and Phuoc Tan ward. For Ninh Hoa town, Ninh Van commune will be merged into Ninh Phuoc commune. For Dien Khanh district, Xuan Dong commune will be established by merging Dien Dong commune and Dien Xuan commune.
