1 commune in Khanh Hoa is considered a Heroic Unit of the Armed Forces.

Khanh Hoa – The competent authority has prepared a dossier to consider recognizing Ninh Phuoc commune (merged from Ninh Van commune and Ninh Phuoc commune) as a Heroic unit of the People's Armed Forces.

On October 12, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province announced that it had just issued a document directing the implementation of the resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Khanh Hoa province for the period 2023 - 2025.

Regarding the contents that must be implemented immediately after the resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Khanh Hoa province assigned the Department of Home Affairs, Ninh Hoa town, Dien Khanh district to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to urgently review and prepare a dossier to propose the recognition of Ninh Phuoc commune (merged from Ninh Van commune and Ninh Phuoc commune) as a Heroic unit of the People's Armed Forces and recognition of a commune-level administrative unit in the mountainous area (if qualified).

On September 28, the National Assembly Standing Committee issued Resolution No. 1196 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Khanh Hoa province.

According to the resolution, Khanh Hoa province will reorganize 12 commune-level administrative units to form 5 new commune-level administrative units, reducing 7 commune-level administrative units. For Nha Trang city, Phuong Son ward will be merged into Phuong Sai ward; Xuong Huan ward and Van Thang ward will be merged into Van Thanh ward; Tan Tien ward will be established on the basis of merging Phuoc Tien ward, Tan Lap ward and Phuoc Tan ward. For Ninh Hoa town, Ninh Van commune will be merged into Ninh Phuoc commune. For Dien Khanh district, Xuan Dong commune will be established on the basis of merging Dien Dong commune and Dien Xuan commune.
