17 clubs participate in the Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk song festival

The festival provides an opportunity for folk singing clubs in Can Loc (Ha Tinh province) to exchange ideas, learn from each other's experiences, and contribute to strengthening and developing the cultural and artistic movement at the grassroots level.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mai Khac Trung, Head of the Culture and Communication Department of Can Loc District, informed: The festival is an opportunity for clubs to exchange ideas and learn from each other, contributing to strengthening and developing the cultural and artistic movement at the grassroots level, and improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people. This is a practical activity to celebrate the birthdays of prominent figures and to receive the Certificate recognizing the Han Nom documents of Truong Luu village as a documentary heritage under the Memory of the World Programme for the Asia- Pacific region.

The clubs explore and select performances suitable for various genres: solo, duet, and group. Of these, 40-50% of the performance time is dedicated to traditional folk songs and original melodies such as: ví, giặm, hò, ru, and some xẩm tunes...

The performances aimed to praise the spirit of labor, love of life, love of homeland, country, and people; to praise the Party and beloved Uncle Ho; and to reflect the typical cultural characteristics of the locality and the process of building new rural areas.
