Regarding the health status of the victims, Mr. Nguyen Cong Huu, Director of E Hospital, said that of the four patients transferred, two have been moved to the intensive care unit. These two patients are showing signs of difficulty breathing, suspected of carbon dioxide poisoning.
Initial test results and imaging revealed lung damage. To ensure safety, the doctors consulted with specialists and decided on intensive treatment using specialized equipment in the intensive care unit.
The other two patients are in the emergency department in less serious condition. One has minor burns to the eye area and the other has only superficial abrasions.
According to initial information, at approximately 11 PM on December 18th, a serious fire broke out at a karaoke bar located at 258 Pham Van Dong Street, resulting in multiple fatalities.
At that time, a large fire broke out in the three-story house, the first floor of which was used as a cafe.
According to a camera recorded by people near the scene, before the fire, a person wearing a baseball cap, carrying a bucket (suspected to be a bucket of gasoline) approached the karaoke bar. After that, the fire broke out from inside the karaoke bar and spread to other rooms and surrounding houses.
Around 1 AM on December 19th, the fire was largely brought under control.
