Right after the 2024 Lunar New Year, taking advantage of the warm weather, Hai Duong farmers focused their manpower and machinery on planting. By February 20, the whole province had planted over 40,000 hectares, reaching about 75% of the planted area (53,600 hectares), equivalent to the same period last year.

Localities that have planted 80-90% of the area include: Ninh Giang, Kim Thanh, Gia Loc, Thanh Mien, Chi Linh City and Hai Duong City. Kinh Mon town has only planted about 20% of the area.

Farmers in Thang Long commune (Kinh Mon) focus on preparing the land for planting.

The whole province has flooded over 51,500 hectares, reaching about 96.1% of the plan; tilled land over 50,000 hectares, reaching about 93.3%. Hai Duong strives to complete planting on the entire area by February 28.
