80% of Vietnamese fans are hoping I get fired

On the afternoon of March 20th, Coach Troussier shared his thoughts at the press conference before the match between the Indonesian and Vietnamese national teams. The French coach expressed confidence in a good result for the Vietnamese team, despite having to play away from home.

Coach Troussier said: "I have worked with the players for a year. I believe we have accumulated enough experience and practical skills. The most recent tournament, the 2023 Asian Cup, did not achieve the desired goals, but we still gained something. The match against Indonesia at that time did not have a good result, but there were also positive aspects."

In the second half, my players performed well and I reminded them to maintain that. The team is confident now. We will show that in tomorrow's match. It will be a big challenge for Vietnam. But we like challenges."

Sharing his thoughts on the pressure and criticism from fans in recent times, Coach Troussier said: "Many people are waiting for tomorrow's results to decide my future with the Vietnamese national team. I think many people are hoping for the day I'm substituted. Many people say my approach with the Vietnamese national team is inappropriate."

The public can be influenced by such information. That's a situation every coach in the world has to face. Many people may not believe me, based on opinions in the press and on social media. But I always try to stay focused on my work."

The match between the Indonesian national team and the Vietnamese national team will take place at 8:30 PM tomorrow, March 21st.
