An Giang: 4 gold and jewelry businesses discovered to have signs of violating industrial property rights

On October 23, the Police Department for Investigation of Crimes on Corruption, Economy, Smuggling and Environment of An Giang Province Police said that it had coordinated with the Provincial Market Management Department to inspect a number of gold and jewelry businesses in the province.

Authorities work with the owner of a gold business that shows signs of violations.

Evidence temporarily detained during inspection.

Through inspection, 4 gold and jewelry businesses were discovered, displaying many gold and silver products with signs of infringing industrial property rights, related to trademarks protected in Vietnam. The total value of the infringing goods was over 500 million VND.

The case is being investigated by the Police Department for Investigation of Crimes on Corruption, Economy , Smuggling and Environment of An Giang Province Police in coordination with relevant functional units to continue verifying and clarifying the violations of organizations and individuals for handling according to the provisions of law.
