M5 helps iPad Pro replace laptop?
With the M5 chip, the new iPad Pro promises up to 12% faster multi-core CPU performance and up to 36% faster graphics performance than the previous generation. A notable point is that the iPad Pro M5 is equipped with a minimum of 12 GB of RAM, an upgrade from 8 GB in the previous version. In particular, the product also adds N1 and C1X modems to support mobile connectivity in addition to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies, including Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread.
“iPad Pro M5 delivers the most advanced and versatile iPad experience ever,” said John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of hardware engineering. “It opens up endless possibilities for creativity and productivity with leaps in AI performance, improved graphics, lightning-fast wireless connectivity, and groundbreaking iPadOS 26 features.”
iPadOS 26 helps users take advantage of the all-new window system as well as enhanced multitasking capabilities. The large 12GB RAM space also supports multiple applications running at the same time and improves background activity when in use.
