Three Miss Vietnam reunite, "compete in beauty" in modernized ao dai

(Dan Tri) - This is a rare occasion that 3 Miss Vietnam including Ky Duyen, Tieu Vy and Thanh Thuy took a photo shoot in ao dai together.

Ky Duyen, Tieu Vy and Thanh Thuy all came from the Miss Vietnam pageant, in which Ky Duyen was crowned in 2014, Tieu Vy won the crown in 2018 and Thanh Thuy won the title in 2022. Over the years, these are all beauty queens who have maintained a lasting appeal to the audience.

After her business trip to Myanmar, she continued her journey to promote the image of Vietnam at an exhibition event in Japan at the invitation of the Department of International Cooperation - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism .

The photo series contributes to honoring the traditional beauty of Vietnamese costumes while bringing a modern breeze. The costumes are part of the collection by designer Linh San, which is being presented on September 30 in Ho Chi Minh City. The designs use a vibrant color palette from fuchsia pink, cobalt blue, turquoise to lemon yellow.

The phoenix and crane motifs are delicately hand-embroidered on silk and brocade. The highlight of the design is the layered treatment on the chest and shoulders, both innovative and maintaining the traditional ao dai shape.
