The volleyball tournament at the 2025 SEA Games in Bangkok, with the women's competition from December 10-15 and the men's from December 13-19, is attracting significant attention as Vietnam aims to win medals.

In the women's competition, which features eight teams, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will face Myanmar, Malaysia, and Indonesia in the group stage.

In their opening match, despite not fielding their strongest lineup, the team still defeated Myanmar 3-0 (25-9, 25-10, 25-6). Young hitters like Anh Thao, Bich Thuy, and Kim Thanh performed outstandingly, completely dominating their opponent who offered almost no resistance.
