Bac Giang temporarily suspends construction of new district and commune-level headquarters.

Kinhtedothi - The People's Committee of Bac Giang province has just issued Official Document No. 1195 requesting the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities to review and temporarily suspend new investments, renovations, repairs, and upgrades of district and commune-level headquarters.

The official document states: In implementing Conclusion No. 126-KL/TW dated February 14, 2025, of the Politburo and the Secretariat on some contents and tasks to continue arranging and streamlining the organizational structure of the political system in 2025; and Conclusion No. 127-KL/TW dated February 28, 2025, of the Politburo and the Secretariat on conducting research and proposing further arrangements for the organizational structure of the political system, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province requests the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities to review and temporarily suspend the implementation of new investment projects, renovation, repair, and upgrading of working offices of administrative agencies and units at the district and commune levels until further notice; ensuring the practice of saving and preventing waste.

The Department of Construction, in accordance with its functions and duties, shall take the lead in coordinating with the Department of Finance, the Department of Home Affairs, and other relevant units to monitor, inspect, and supervise agencies, units, and localities. It shall advise and propose to the Provincial People's Committee timely and effective management matters.

Previously, many provinces and cities across the country had also requested a temporary halt to the implementation of new construction projects and the renovation and repair of office buildings during the process of restructuring the administrative apparatus.
