In order to propagate and mobilize people to fully grasp and understand the benefits they enjoy, to join hands with local authorities to effectively implement the National Target Program 1719. “Ethnic minorities are the main beneficiaries of the program and have actively participated in economic development projects, especially in the fields of agriculture, livestock and handicrafts. This participation not only helps them improve their income but also enhances their production capacity and market access. Projects in which ethnic minorities participate extensively often achieve good results, with significant growth in local economy and personal income,” Mr. To Thanh Phuong analyzed.
In fact, people in ethnic minority communes have expressed satisfaction with the livelihood support policies from the Program. Effectiveness of advocacy and propaganda work
To achieve the above results, to raise awareness and gain high consensus among ethnic minorities, the Provincial People's Committee has issued a Plan on communication to implement the National Target Program 1719. Mr. To Thanh Phuong commented that through training conferences for prestigious people and officials participating in the implementation of the National Target Program 1719, delegates met, exchanged, learned and shared good practices to together perform their roles well in the locality.
“Thereby, it is to create favorable conditions for prestigious people among ethnic minorities to exchange information on propaganda work, mobilizing ethnic minorities to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws and local regulations. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee to better perform its tasks in promoting propaganda about national target programs in ethnic minority areas,” Mr. To Thanh Phuong shared.
It can be affirmed that, from the implementation of the National Target Programs, after nearly 4 years of implementing the National Target Program 1719, the Ethnic Affairs Agencies at all levels have focused on performing quite well the role of advising the People's Committees at the same level to direct and organize the implementation of the State management of ethnic groups and ethnic policies in Bac Lieu province, creating high consensus to bring Bac Lieu to the end of 2024, the multidimensional poverty rate will be below 1%.
