According to the Bac Ninh Provincial Portal, on the afternoon of July 29, the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee held a conference to commend and reward individuals with outstanding achievements in international and regional Olympic competitions, high school graduation in 2025 and the 2025 Asian Arts Festival.
Hundreds of millions rewarded for international Olympic medals
At the national high school student selection exam for the 2024-2025 school year, the Bac Ninh education sector was in the top group of provinces and cities with 180/206 contestants winning prizes, including 17 first prizes.
Recently, students of Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted were selected to join the Vietnamese team to compete in regional and international Olympics, bringing home 5 medals and 1 certificate of merit.
Among them, there is 1 gold medal in the International Chemistry Olympiad (Ngo Quang Minh, grade 12 chemistry), 1 silver medal in the International Physics Olympiad (Nguyen Cong Vinh, grade 12 physics), 1 bronze medal in the International Math Olympiad (Truong Thanh Xuan, grade 11 math 1).
In addition, there is also 1 gold medal of the Asian Physics Olympiad (Nguyen Cong Vinh, grade 12 physics), 1 gold medal and 1 certificate of merit of the European Physics Olympiad (Nguyen Tran Hieu and Ha Tuan Kiet).
In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Bac Ninh province ranked 9th out of 34 provinces and cities in terms of average scores in exam subjects. Of which, the average score in biology ranked first in the country for the first time. Bac Ninh has the top student in the A00 group nationwide, Nguyen Quang Minh - Bac Ninh Specialized High School - with an absolute score of 30/30.
Meanwhile, at the 2025 Asian Arts Festival held in Singapore from July 12 to 19, Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc (Thuan Thanh ward, Bac Ninh province) - a student at the Vietnam National Academy of Music - excellently won the gold cup in the professional vocal category with the performance "Gui ve Quan ho" - a composition by musician Duc Mieng.

In recognition of the above outstanding achievements, Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan awarded certificates of merit and bonuses according to regulations.
Specifically, for the International Olympics, the gold medal reward is 500 million VND, the silver medal is 300 million VND and the bronze medal is 200 million VND.
For the regional Olympics, the gold medal is awarded 150 million VND, the silver medal is awarded 80 million VND, the bronze medal is awarded 50 million VND and the certificate of merit (fourth prize) is awarded 30 million VND.
In particular, teachers who directly train contestants who win prizes will be awarded an amount equivalent to the student's.
Thus, just counting the students who achieved results in international and regional Olympic competitions, they received a bonus of more than 1.3 billion VND.
Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan emphasized that the above achievements are the result of tireless efforts of individuals, teachers, the education and training sector as well as the cultural sector. The province's consistent viewpoint is to provide the best conditions for the development of education and training.
Specifically, the province has many outstanding policies and incentives such as investing in national standard school facilities, training qualified and above-standard teachers, etc. In the coming school year, Bac Ninh province will continue to pay attention and issue investment policies for education and other social security policies.
With the orientation of forming university urban areas and high-tech training - research - application centers, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan hopes that talents will promote outstanding individuals to develop their capacity, contribute their talent and intelligence, and contribute to the development of their homeland and country.
