Border villages are brilliant with flags and flowers to celebrate 50 years of national reunification.

TPO - These days, all schools, classrooms, and large and small roads leading to villages in the mountainous district of Nghe An are decorated with flags, flowers, and banners celebrating the country's important holiday.

During the historic month of April, mountainous districts throughout Nghe An province such as Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Que Phong, Con Cuong, Anh Son... are adorned with vibrant red flags with yellow stars, banners, and slogans celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The nearly 1km long road, lined with lush green trees, is further enhanced by the vibrant red of the national flag and the Party flag.

"Walking amidst the vibrant flags, I feel even more love for my country and homeland. Especially during these historic days of April - celebrating the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country," said Vi Van Luong (a resident of Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district).

Many roads, both large and small, in Tuong Duong district (Nghe An province) are also covered with red flags with yellow stars, banners, and slogans these days.

The culture of the ethnic minority still permeates the schools and classrooms in the mountainous areas of Ky Son district, Nghe An province.

The Youth Union branches in Nghe An province have also extensively implemented propaganda activities to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country with the theme " Peace is so beautiful". A highlight of these activities was the "Week of Red Flag and Yellow Star Shirts" which took place from April 23-30.

“Even in remote border areas, patriotism and faith in a bright future still burn brightly in the hearts of young children. The 'Week of Red Flags with Yellow Stars' is not only a propaganda campaign but also an opportunity to educate the younger generation about revolutionary traditions and the aspiration for peace, independence, and freedom,” said Nguyen Minh Hoan (a resident of Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district, Nghe An province).

Propaganda activities organized in schools help students gain a better understanding and appreciation of the red flag with a yellow star, thereby instilling in them love for their homeland and national pride.
