Hanoi University of Education has calculated the percentile scores for the main subject combinations of the 2025 SPT competency assessment test, categorized into top 3 groups, 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 5%, 10%, 20%, and so on.
Previously, the SPT aptitude test took place in mid-May, attracting nearly 17,500 candidates. Candidates took elective subjects including mathematics, literature, English, physics, chemistry, biology, history, and geography.
The eight elective subjects of the SPT aptitude test can be arranged into more than 30 combinations for university admissions.
According to the percentile scores of the SPT aptitude test recently announced by the school, with 17 unweighted subject combinations, candidates achieving 28.33 points in combination A00 (mathematics, physics, chemistry) are in the top 3, equivalent to 27.53 points in combination B00 (mathematics, chemistry, biology), 26.07 points in combination C00, 25.12 points in combination D00 (mathematics, literature, English), 20.90 points in combination D10 (mathematics, geography, English)...
The 17th percentile scores for the unweighted component subjects are as follows:

The 11th percentile score for the combination, multiplied by a coefficient for one component subject, is converted to a 30-point scale as follows:

Hanoi Pedagogical University stated that immediately after receiving the high school graduation exam score data from the Ministry of Education and Training , the university's conversion committee began working on the actual data and proceeded with the conversion between the different exam subjects according to the Ministry's guidelines.
Simultaneously, convert the SPT competency assessment scores to high school graduation scores (according to subject combinations, maintaining the same weighting) for combinations with all three SPT competency assessment subjects using the adjusted percentile method (based on an analysis of admission efficiency and correlation of learning outcomes across methods) for admission to Hanoi University of Education and provide information to partner universities using the SPT competency assessment results.
Hanoi University of Education does not perform conversion in two cases: when candidates do not have enough subjects (3 subjects) and when the subject combination is "rare," with too few candidates, and insufficient data to calculate the percentile.
Currently, about 26 universities use the results of the SPT exam organized by Hanoi University of Education for university admissions.
This year, Hanoi University of Education plans to recruit nearly 5,000 students into 50 majors/training programs using three methods: based on high school graduation exam results; selection of candidates with outstanding achievements and abilities; based on aptitude test scores organized by the university; and a combination of high school graduation exam scores and talent test scores for some majors.
Last year, the cutoff scores based on the high school graduation exam results for teacher training programs at Hanoi University of Education ranged from 22 to 29.3.
