Beaten after school soccer tournament, 2 10th grade students hospitalized

(NLĐO) - During a school-organized football tournament, a group of students got into a fight, resulting in two 10th-grade male students being hospitalized.

On February 21st, the Board of Directors of Le Hoan High School in Duc Co district, Gia Lai province, is investigating an incident where a group of students fought, resulting in two students being injured and hospitalized.

According to initial information, yesterday (February 20th), Le Hoan High School organized a boys' football tournament between different grade levels. In this tournament, the 10th grade C10 team played against a 12th grade team and won.

Two tenth-grade students who were beaten and hospitalized are currently being cared for by their families at the hospital.

After the match, a conflict and fight broke out between the two teams from different classes. As a result of the incident, VQH and NTT (both born in 2009, students of class 10 C10) were injured and had to be taken to the Duc Co District Medical Center for emergency treatment, and were later transferred to Hoang Anh Gia Lai University Medical Center for further treatment.

NTT stated that after the match ended, a group of 12th-grade male students approached her and asked, "What were you saying earlier?" so she turned and walked away. When she looked back, she saw that her classmate, VQH, had been attacked. Seeing this, NTT also got on her motorbike and tried to escape, but the group of 4-5 12th-grade students chased after her, kicked her, and beat her with helmets.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thoa (VQH's mother), when she heard the news and went to the hospital, she found her son bleeding from the nose, with bruised eyes, and said he felt dizzy and nauseous. NTT was examined by doctors and found to have multiple injuries to the back of her neck, face, and head.

Ms. Thoa also hopes that the school, along with the police force, will investigate and clarify the matter so that students can have a safe and healthy learning environment.

According to Le Hoan High School, after the incident occurred, they coordinated with the Chu Ty Town Police to clarify the matter. Through this investigation, they determined that four students from the school participated in assaulting VQH and NTT.

According to the school administration, the tournament proceeded normally, with the encouragement and supervision of the school administration and parents. However, the incident occurred after the parents and teachers left.
