(NLDO) - While participating in a soccer tournament organized by the school, a group of students got into a conflict and fought, causing two 10th grade male students to be hospitalized.

On February 21, the Board of Directors of Le Hoan High School, Duc Co District, Gia Lai Province is clarifying the incident where a group of students fought, leaving two students injured and hospitalized.

According to initial information, yesterday (February 20), Le Hoan High School organized a boys soccer tournament between grades. In this tournament, the 10th grade C10 team met a team of a 12th grade class and won.

Two 10th grade students were beaten and hospitalized and are being cared for by their families at the hospital.

After the match, the two teams had a conflict and fought. The incident resulted in VQH and NTT (both born in 2009, students of class 10 C10) being injured and had to be taken to the Duc Co District Medical Center for emergency treatment, then transferred to Hoang Anh Gia Lai University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital for further treatment.

NTT said that after the match ended, a group of 12th grade boys came up to him and asked him "what did you say earlier?" so he turned around and left. When he looked back, he saw that his classmate, VQH, had been beaten. Seeing that, NTT also got on his motorbike and ran away, but was immediately chased by a group of 4-5 12th graders who kicked him and beat him with helmets.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thoa (VQH's mother), when she heard the news and went to the hospital, she saw her son was beaten, had a nosebleed, had bruises on his eyes, and said he was dizzy and nauseous. NTT was examined by doctors with many injuries to the neck, face, and head.

Ms. Thoa also hopes that the school and the police will verify and clarify so that students have a safe and healthy learning environment.

According to Le Hoan High School, after the incident, they coordinated with Chu Ty Town Police to clarify the case. Thereby, it was determined that 4 students from the school participated in beating VQH and NTT.

According to the school board, the tournament took place normally, with the encouragement and supervision of the school board and parents. However, after the parents and teachers left, the above incident occurred.
