On August 21st, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Investment and Development Bank (BIDV) was honored among the Top 50 best listed companies in Vietnam according to the ranking by Forbes Vietnam magazine.
For the fifth consecutive year, BIDV has been included in this list of the 50 best listed companies, being honored with the leading position in revenue within the banking industry and ranking 8th in revenue among all Vietnamese businesses.
The list of Top 50 best listed companies in Vietnam, published by Forbes Vietnam, is based on a rigorous evaluation process spanning multiple rounds with criteria such as: profitability in 2024, minimum revenue and market capitalization of VND 500 billion; assessment of compound annual growth rate of revenue and profit, ROE (return on equity), ROIC (return on investment), etc.
The data used for evaluation is the audited consolidated financial report for 2024. Beyond just data, Forbes Vietnam also conducts qualitative research to assess the company's sustainable development, its position in the industry, sources of profit, quality of corporate governance, industry prospects, and more.
In 2024, leveraging its role as a leading commercial bank in the economy , after a year of strenuous business efforts, by December 31, 2024, BIDV was the first and only bank in the banking industry to have all three key indicators – total assets, deposits, and outstanding loans – exceed 2 trillion VND.
