The recent meeting on the personnel of the Asian team did not reach a high consensus due to the controversy over the professional criteria, especially in the women's category. The Vietnam Chinese Chess Federation and the Chess Department - Department of Physical Education and Sports have not yet issued a document regulating the standards for athletes to participate in international tournaments, through achievements in annual national tournaments.

There was a year when both the national male and female champions were removed from the Vietnamese team without any clear reason. Only after the press spoke out were both called up to the team and the person in charge of selecting the athletes was later dismissed.

Fans are waiting for wise decisions, fully considered from a professional perspective so that the most deserving people will be given the responsibility of protecting the national flag. That is also the highest right and honor in an athlete's life.
