The thick fog on the night of January 18th did not seem to dampen the excitement of the border festival. Amidst the spring colors of the border, thousands of people were present, participating in many meaningful activities to welcome the new year. For them, this year's Tet came earlier and was more fun than every year...
Tet holiday early in the border region.
With a bright smile after each meeting, village elder Clâu Blao (Voong village, Tr'Hy commune) said that this year's Tet (Lunar New Year) truly arrived early for the people in the border region because the border guard's spring festival was organized on a large scale and with great care. This is a precious gesture of kindness brought by the provincial leaders, border guard officers and soldiers, and philanthropists, helping to warm the last vestiges of winter in the border area.
“Everyone put aside their year-end work to attend the program. They come to have fun and bring home Tet gifts. It has been organized for many years, this is the first time the border spring festival has taken place on a large scale, so everyone is happy and joyful” - old man Clau Blao shared.
Bustling like a spring market with a full range of prepared goods, the “Zero-dong stall” was organized to give essential goods to the people in the border areas. Each household received gifts from the benefactors, the joy between them seemed to overflow “without borders”.
Mr. Briu Bang - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tr'Hy commune said that almost all local households and neighboring border communes received gifts. In addition to support packages for especially disadvantaged households, many "open spaces" like this were implemented at the spring festival.
According to Mr. Briu Bang, every year, Tr'Hy Border Guard Station organizes the program "Border Spring - Warming the hearts of the villagers" but the scale is not as large as this year. However, the people are still warmed by the hundreds of gifts given, adding to the joy of helping people welcome a warm spring.
“This year, many gifts were given. People attending the festival were all happy to receive the affection from the provincial leaders, philanthropists, especially the Border Guard officers and soldiers. For people in the border area, Tet came very early this year, which is very happy,” Mr. Briu Bang confided.

This is also an opportunity to demonstrate the spirit of " Quang Nam joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind" in accordance with the directives of higher authorities.
According to Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, the message from this year's "Border Spring - Warming the hearts of the villagers" program is expected to continue to spread good things and become more and more concrete in practical actions and deeds, deeply demonstrating the close military-civilian relationship.
By connecting and mobilizing resources, the program brings the warmth of spring to people in remote villages, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of people in the border areas of the Fatherland, contributing to firmly protecting the sovereignty and security of the national border.
