Nguyen Huynh Phuong Linh and Ma Minh Cam have won the right to participate in the semi-finals of the 6th round of the Korean Professional 3-cushion carom billiards tournament (PBA) season 2025 - 2026.

The quarter-finals of the 6th round of the PBA 2025 - 2026 billiards tournament took place on October 27, with the appearance of two Vietnamese players, Nguyen Huynh Phuong Linh and Ma Minh Cam. Both Phuong Linh and Minh Cam had excellent performances, winning the round for the 8 strongest players.

Controversial situation in Phuong Linh's match

Nguyen Huynh Phuong Linh did not encounter many difficulties to win convincingly 3-0 against Park Joo-sun (Korea). In this match, Phuong Linh played with extremely high performance and showed overwhelming dominance over the home player (winning 15/7, 15/7 and 15/13).

One of the most notable developments in this match was the situation where the referee did not recognize Nguyen Huynh Phuong Linh's score in the third game (Phuong Linh was leading 2-0). Minh Cam and Yu Si-yoon both showed that they were in good form, with extremely stable scoring ability. The two players created an attractive score chase. The Vietnamese player took the lead twice, then his opponent equalized the score twice.

In the final game, Ma Minh Cam proved that he was the stronger player to win 3-2 (15/8, 10/15, 15/10, 9/15 and 11/0) against Yu Si-yoon.

At this time, the two semi-final matches of the 6th round of the PBA tournament this season have been determined: Nguyen Huynh Phuong Linh meets Kim Young-won (Korea), Ma Minh Cam meets Daniel Sanchez (Spain). The semi-final round and the final match for the championship will take place on October 28.

Kim Young-won was the one who defeated Ngo Dinh Nai 3-0 in the round of 16. In the quarter-finals, the young Korean player continued to shock when he defeated Turkish "wizard" Semih Sayginer 3-1. Daniel Sanchez defeated Eddy Leppens 3-2 (round of 16), before defeating Lee Choong-bok 3-1 (quarter-finals).
