Border Guards increase forces to support people in responding to storm No. 13

Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 13, on the morning of November 6, the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command mobilized 50 officers and soldiers of the agency to reinforce coastal units and key areas, ready to support people in preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

The Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command has assigned two Deputy Commanders to directly go to the area to direct the organization of mobile forces; at the same time, grasp the situation, lead the implementation of party and political work during the performance of tasks.

The reinforcement force is responsible for coordinating with local authorities and other forces to reinforce houses, relocate assets, help people evacuate from vulnerable areas, and mobilize fishermen and workers still on boats and aquaculture cages to safe shelters. At the same time, working groups are ready to participate in rescue, first aid, and transfer of injured people; organize medical examinations and health care for people; support environmental remediation, clean up, and limit the outbreak of epidemics after natural disasters.

Colonel Ro Lan Ngan, Deputy Political Commissar of the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command, said: "Promoting the spirit of initiative, responsibility, and helping people with the motto "Where the people are in difficulty, there are Border Guards". This reinforcement of forces affirms the determination of Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard in responding to storms, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property, and maintaining stability in the border area in all situations".
