The unit responsible for bringing this product to market is Phuong Anh Cosmetics Investment Trading Service Production Company Limited (HCMC). The manufacturing unit is Kachi-H Cosmetics Production Company Limited ( Tay Ninh province).
Test results showed that the product's sun protection factor (SPF) was 2, a serious difference compared to the "SPF 45+" information published on the packaging.
A batch of sunscreen products of unknown origin, with a sun protection factor of only 2 compared to the label stating 45+ A Cosmetics Soft Perfume Moisture Whitening SPF 45+ was requested by the Drug Administration of Vietnam, Ministry of Health to be recalled nationwide and destroyed in its entirety.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam said that the declaration form registered by the enterprise was only for "full body whitening cream", with no function and SPF of 45+ as on the label of the sampled product mentioned above.
In response to this violation, the Drug Administration of Vietnam has announced the nationwide recall and destruction of the product batch A Cosmetics Soft Perfume Moisture Whitening SPF 45 - Box of 1 bottle of 150g.
At the same time, the Department has directed the Department of Health of provinces and cities to notify businesses and pharmacies to immediately stop selling and using the above product batch and return it to the supplier.
Health Departments are responsible for supervising the recall and destruction of all violating products, and disseminating information so that people are aware and do not use them.
Handle organizations and individuals violating current regulations and report results to the Department of Drug Administration.
The Department of Pharmacy requested the Lam Dong Provincial Department of Health to inspect Ngoc Dung Pharmacy for compliance with regulations on cosmetics trading, and coordinate with relevant agencies to trace the origin of the shipment.
The Department also requested Phuong Anh Cosmetics Investment Trading Service Production Company Limited and Kachi-H Company to cooperate closely with authorities to verify and clarify the incident.
Before this batch of products, the Drug Administration Department had also announced the nationwide recall of many batches of sunscreen products that had 'exploded' sun protection indexes on the labels, while the test results were very low. The Drug Administration Department also sent a document to the Department of Health of provinces and centrally run cities; Production and business establishments responsible for bringing cosmetic products to the market to strengthen cosmetic management of sunscreen products.
Review the received cosmetic product declaration forms with declared sun protection features and uses, ensuring compliance with current regulations on cosmetic management; Revoke the received declaration forms that do not meet the regulations;
Direct functional units to inspect the labeling and advertising of sunscreen cosmetic products in the area;
Direct the Testing Center to increase sampling of sunscreen cosmetics to test and determine the SPF index (Sun Protection Factor);
Promptly report to the Drug Administration of Vietnam any violating sunscreen cosmetic samples for recall, destruction, handling and strict punishment according to regulations.
