At the VTV Cup 2024, Kuanysh brought a very strong lineup and was considered a championship contender. Therefore, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team faced considerable difficulties against their diverse attacking style, while their scoring ability was also limited.

Thanh Thúy's absence once again forced coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt to use Bích Tuyền in the outside hitter role, instead of her preferred opposite hitter position.

Unfortunately, the LPBank Ninh Binh player had a less than ideal day of competition. Her attacking abilities were not utilized to their fullest potential. This forced Coach Kiet to replace Bich Tuyen with Vi Thi Nhu Quynh in the first set.

In the remaining positions, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team also failed to spring a surprise against Kuanysh. They couldn't block effectively enough, while their back-row defense also had problems.

In the first set, the Kazakhstani team won 25-20. In the next two sets, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team was almost completely outmatched. Kuanysh secured further victories with scores of 25-13 and 25-23 to finish the match with a 3-0 win.

Also in Group A of the VTV Cup 2024, the South Korean representative, Korea Expressway, defeated Paint Master (Philippines) 3-0.

At 7 PM tonight, August 25th, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will face Korea Expressway in a direct match.

Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team must win to have any hope of advancing to the semi-finals.
