Bong Son Ward was established on the basis of merging Bong Son Ward (old) and Hoai Duc Ward of Hoai Nhon Town before. During the 2020 - 2025 term, the Party Committee, government and people of the two wards have promoted the tradition of solidarity, made creative efforts, achieved and exceeded most of the targets set by the Congress Resolution.
The economy continues to grow, the structure shifts in the right direction; infrastructure is invested in, urban appearance has improved a lot. Cultural and social fields have made much progress, people's material and spiritual life has been improved, national defense and security have been maintained. Party building and political system building have been promoted, the great national unity bloc and social consensus have been enhanced.
According to Secretary of the Party Committee of Bong Son Ward Vo Ngoc Binh, developing socio-economic infrastructure is a bright spot in both old wards.
In particular, Bong Son ward (old) has coordinated to invest in the construction of many key projects; promoted investment in urban beautification projects with a budget of 243 billion VND. Thanks to that, the urban appearance has improved a lot, the green tree system and lighting are increasingly complete. The ward has completed and put into use 5 flower gardens associated with sports facilities, serving the spiritual life of local people well.
Meanwhile, Hoai Duc ward focuses on investment in construction and site clearance, with a total cost of over 57.5 billion VND. Focusing on investing over 42.5 billion VND to synchronously upgrade essential infrastructure such as traffic, irrigation, sidewalks, and lighting. Effectively coordinating site clearance to serve the construction of key projects such as Binh Chuong - Hoai My route, the North - South expressway in the East.
3 key tasks, 3 breakthroughs
The first Congress of the Party Committee of Bong Son Ward, term 2025 - 2030, determined the common goal of building a clean and strong Party Committee and political system; promoting the strength of great national unity to promote sustainable economic growth. To successfully achieve that goal, Nguyen Trung Dat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ward Party Committee, clearly stated each key task. First of all, focusing resources on investing in building infrastructure in a synchronous and modern direction, especially traffic infrastructure, drainage, centralized clean water, trees, lighting, etc. Coordinate the implementation of key national projects passing through the area, especially the North-South high-speed railway and the expansion of National Highway 1.
At the same time, exploit potentials and advantages to attract resources for economic development, focusing on promoting rapid growth in the trade - service, industry - construction sectors. On the other hand, focus on adjusting, supplementing and perfecting planning projects to suit reality and development requirements; associated with management and strict implementation of planning. Focus on expanding urban space to the South, prioritizing new investment planning and upgrading bridges across Lai Giang River, enhancing traffic connections in the area.
The ward Party Committee also identified three breakthroughs, creating momentum for comprehensive development in the coming term.
