Coffee prices continue to fall sharply by 1,700-1,900 VND/kg, pepper prices reverse and increase

(GLO)- On December 5, domestic coffee prices continued to fall sharply by 1,700-1,900 VND/kg. Meanwhile, pepper prices reversed and increased by 500-1,000 VND/kg in some localities.

Specifically, the coffee price in Dak Lak province today continued to decrease by 1,900 VND/kg compared to yesterday, down to 103,600 VND/kg. This is also the locality with the deepest coffee price drop in the country today.

Similarly, in Gia Lai province, coffee is currently priced at 103,200 VND/kg, down 1,700 VND/kg. With the same decrease, coffee in Lam Dong is traded at 102,800 VND/kg, the lowest in the region.

Domestic pepper prices today are trading in the range of 147,500-150,000 VND/kg. Of which, the highest prices were recorded in Dak Lak and Lam Dong at 150,000 VND/kg, both up 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

In Gia Lai, pepper increased by 500 VND/kg, to 147,500 VND/kg. In Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City, pepper prices remained stable, currently being purchased by traders at 148,000 VND/kg.
