Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, has been elected by the Provincial People's Council to the position of Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee.
On November 11th, the Ca Mau Provincial People's Council, 10th term, 2021-2026, held its 16th session (special session). The Provincial People's Council unanimously elected Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, as Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

At this session, the Ca Mau Provincial People's Council considered relieving Mr. Huynh Quoc Viet of his duties as a member of the Provincial People's Council and from his position as Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
Previously, on July 10, 2024, the Politburo issued a decision to transfer and assign Mr. Huynh Quoc Viet to participate in the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee and to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
At the same time, the Provincial People's Council elected Mr. Pham Chi Hai, Director of the Department of Internal Affairs, and Mr. Tran Van Trung, Director of the Department of Information and Communications, to the positions of members of the Provincial People's Committee for the term 2021-2026.
Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, born on August 20, 1971, hails from Luong The Tran commune, Cai Nuoc district, Ca Mau province. His qualifications include a Master's degree in Economic Law; a Bachelor's degree in Law; Advanced Political and Administrative Theory; and a Senior Specialist program in State Management.
Prior to being elected Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai held various positions, including: Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tran Van Thoi district; Deputy Chief and Chief of the Office of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee; Secretary of the Nam Can District Party Committee; and Secretary of the Ca Mau City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
From September 2021 to the present, Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai has held the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee; and is a representative of the Provincial People's Council, 10th term, 2021-2026.
