Ca Mau launched a peak campaign to fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights in the province.

The purpose of the Plan is to effectively and promptly implement Official Dispatch No. 65/CD-TTg and Directive No. 13/CT-TTg. It aims to strengthen the direction, inspection, and supervision of departments, agencies, and the People's Committees of districts and the city of Ca Mau regarding the fight against smuggling, fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property infringement during the peak period. It also aims to proactively detect, combat, and effectively prevent and strictly handle violations, especially those involving organizations and individuals producing and trading counterfeit medicines, counterfeit milk, and counterfeit health supplements. Furthermore, it seeks to create a breakthrough in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property infringement, linked to the restructuring of administrative units at all levels; to improve management capacity, clearly define responsibilities, functions, and tasks, avoiding overlapping or neglecting duties, and preventing gaps in state management.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directs the implementation, inspection, supervision, and guidance of departments, agencies, and functional forces in launching a high-intensity campaign against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property infringement in the province, in accordance with Directive No. 13/CT and Official Dispatch No. 65/CĐ-TTg.

Focus on inspecting key items that have been the subject of public concern recently; conduct surprise inspections and strictly handle violations of laws regarding the trading of smuggled goods, the production and trading of counterfeit goods, goods infringing intellectual property rights, and goods of unknown origin.

Strengthen information and communication efforts, and mobilize organizations and individuals to participate in reporting and combating smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods through diverse and practical methods. Effectively receive and process reports, information, and requests for prosecution regarding smuggling crimes in accordance with regulations.

Strengthen the management of cadres, civil servants, and soldiers in terms of awareness and implementation of the fight against, prevention, and suppression of ideological, political , moral, and lifestyle degradation, and building a clean and strong internal organization. Improve emulation work, promptly commend and reward outstanding collectives and individuals, contributing to a vibrant emulation atmosphere during the peak period in particular and in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in general; at the same time, strictly handle according to regulations cases of violations, signs of "turning a blind eye," "abetting," or "protecting" criminals and those violating the law.

Conduct a review and evaluation of the implementation of Directive No. 65/CĐ-TTg; propose solutions to improve the effectiveness of combating smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in the future.
