At the 33rd SEA Games, the draw of luck placed the Vietnamese women's team in an extremely fierce group B, with the Philippines, Myanmar and Malaysia. Before the match, representatives of the teams shared their goals and preparations on the afternoon of December 4.
Philippines coach: "We came here to win"
Considered the biggest rival of coach Mai Duc Chung and his team in the journey to defend the title, the Philippines brings great confidence to Thailand. Head coach Mark Torcaso does not hide his ambition, although he admits the difficulty of the group stage.

"My team has been working hard over the past few months. We know we are in a very strong group with formidable opponents.
The Philippines respects every team, but we come here with a clear mission to become the best team in the tournament. We are determined to make that happen," Mr. Mark Torcaso firmly affirmed.
Meanwhile, Myanmar coach Uki Tetsuro was modest but full of hidden meaning. To prepare for the 33rd SEA Games, Myanmar has made a thorough investment with a long training trip to Japan in October and November.
The Japanese strategist shared: "Currently, we are trying our best to unite the players into a unified block. Myanmar's goal is to try our best to achieve better results than the previous SEA Games."
In the previous congress, Myanmar caused many difficulties for the Vietnamese women's team and this time will certainly be no exception.
Malaysia ready to face Vietnam women's team
As the first opponent of the Vietnamese women's team at the 33rd SEA Games, Malaysia under the leadership of coach Joel Cornelli also showed significant progress.
