| Approaching the area where the fishing boat ran aground. |
Accordingly, on the afternoon of July 10th, the island's observation force discovered the fishing vessel PY 92628 TS, owned and captained by Mr. Huynh Van Nhiem (residing in Phu Yen ward, Dak Lak province), running aground at a location approximately 1.3 nautical miles from the island.
Immediately after the discovery, the island commander deployed forces, notified and coordinated with the Survey Ship 883 to monitor the situation, and promptly implemented a rescue plan. At 3:05 PM, the speedboat from the Survey Ship 883 reached the scene and brought all five fishermen safely to the island. The island's medical personnel quickly examined them, determining that the fishermen's health was stable and they had no injuries.

Upon verification, the vessel PY 92628TS anchored at the island from 12:00 PM on July 9th, and at approximately 1:30 PM on July 10th, its anchor broke, causing it to drift and run aground. Due to a hole in the hull, it was no longer salvageable. The island mobilized support forces to transfer all supplies from the distressed vessel to the PY 92205TS vessel to bring the fishermen back to the mainland. In addition, the island provided food, provisions, and some personal items.
