Can Tho speeds up the inauguration and groundbreaking of a series of projects to welcome the 14th National Party Congress.

(Chinhphu.vn) - Can Tho City is urgently completing procedures and speeding up progress to start and inaugurate 7 major projects with a total capital of about 9,700 billion VND, expected to be held simultaneously on December 19, 2025.

Complete procedures for 7 projects with a scale of nearly 10,000 billion VND

At the working session on the morning of December 3, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Van Hoa listened to reports from departments and investors on the progress of projects to welcome the 14th Party Congress.

In the list of projects eligible to start construction , the most prominent is Wind Power Plant No. 7 Phase 2 , with the largest investment of 3,700 billion VND . Besides, there are the following projects: Nguyen Chi Thanh Bridge and Road (Vi Thanh Ward) , Hong Loan Social Housing Apartment , An Phu Eco City Apartment .

A total of 7 projects and works have a total investment of about 9,700 billion VND . The groundbreaking and inauguration will be organized by the Government nationwide on December 19, 2025 , with the participation of leaders of the Party, State, ministries, branches and localities.

Three projects aim to be completed on schedule

According to Le Thanh Viet, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of Can Tho City, there are 3 projects registered for inauguration on this occasion including: East-West economic development axis road (old Soc Trang province); Hong Loan social housing apartment complex; Cara River Park apartment complex.

To ensure progress, the Department of Construction recommends that the City People's Committee direct relevant departments to support investors in completing legal procedures in accordance with regulations, creating conditions for qualified projects to commence construction and be inaugurated as planned.

The investors affirmed their determination to complete the project on time, and at the same time asked the city to remove some obstacles such as land price, deposit and land procedures.

Adhering to regulations, the event took place solemnly and meaningfully.

Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Van Hoa emphasized that this is an important event, closely directed by the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Construction. Therefore, the legality of the projects must be fully guaranteed , meeting all conditions to organize groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies.

The Department of Construction of Can Tho City was assigned to preside over the development of the scenario and organization format, and coordinate the survey of the location to ensure the event is successful, spreading to the people the meaning of the 14th National Party Congress.

The city leaders also requested investors and event units to closely coordinate with departments such as Industry and Trade, Police, Culture - Sports and Tourism, People's Committees of communes and wards... to organize the ceremony at direct and online locations, in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Construction.
