Most recently, on September 16, Con Lon Commune Police received a criminal denunciation from Mr. NVK, Na Nua village, Con Lon commune, with the following information: At about 9:00 a.m. on September 15, 2025, Mr. K received a call from a strange phone number introducing himself as working at the Department of Culture - Society, Con Lon Commune People's Committee, asking Mr. K to contact a person named Tuan working at Na Hang Social Insurance to change the information of his pension book due to a change in the administrative boundaries at the commune level.
Mr. K then contacted the provided phone number. This person introduced himself as Tuan, a former Na Hang District Social Insurance employee who was changing Mr. K's information on the electronic pension book. This person instructed Mr. K to log into his bank account via the QR code provided by the subject.
At 11pm the same day, Mr. K discovered that the money in his bank account had been transferred to another account number 0325768727 issued by VPBANK with an amount of over 1.1 billion VND. Mr. K then filed a report to the Con Lon Commune Police about the above incident.
The Social Insurance sector does not have a policy of asking people to provide personal information (ID/CC number, account number, bank account, OTP password...) via phone, social network (Zalo, Facebook...) or any unofficial form. Tuyen Quang Social Insurance recommends that people do not provide personal information to any subject. At the same time, immediately notify the nearest police agency and Tuyen Quang Social Insurance when detecting signs of fraud or impersonation of the Social Insurance agency.
