According to the Hanoi City Investment and Construction Management Board (the organizing unit), the competition aims to select the optimal design solution that meets the requirements of planning, construction, functionality, economic efficiency, and modern architectural style.
The completion of the Thuong Cat Bridge will contribute to the completion of the city's transportation network, ensuring synchronization and smooth operation of the entire Ring Road 3.5. The bridge will also help alleviate congestion on Route 70 and Ring Road 3, and form important infrastructure routes in the capital, promoting socio-economic development.
