Hanoi starts construction of Pearl Theater and many other key projects on October 10

According to the plan, the projects to start construction from October 5 to October 10, 2025 include: Thuong Cat Bridge and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge; Tran Hung Dao Bridge (road items at the bridge head and a connecting branch); Le Hong Phong Cadre Training School; Hanoi Kidney Hospital (2nd facility); Ngoc Trai Theater and thematic cultural and artistic park; Co Linh intersection underpass (Long Bien ward); and the park on both sides of To Lich river.

In particular, Hanoi will start construction of the urban railway line No. 2 project, Nam Thang Long - Tran Hung Dao section, with a ceremony held at the Xuan Dinh depot area.

On this occasion, the city also announced the detailed planning of station C9 and the route plan from station C8 to station C10, scale 1/500, associated with the implementation of the site clearance and resettlement project belonging to the project group of Square - Park East of Hoan Kiem Lake.

With the park on both sides of the To Lich River, the project was started on October 10, as part of the overall project to renovate and beautify the To Lich River. The park not only contributes to expanding the water surface space, but also creates more land for public service works and urban landscapes.

Previously, Hanoi completed a 1.5 km long pipeline to bring water from West Lake to To Lich River, aiming to improve the flow quality.

To ensure progress, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan has directed project management boards to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to urgently complete legal documents, select construction contractors, and promptly handle problems beyond their authority. People's Committees of wards and communes such as Phu Luong, Bo De, Hong Ha, Thuong Cat, and Thien Loc have been assigned to speed up site clearance and resettlement.

For the Tran Hung Dao bridge project, the Department of Finance will take the lead in coordinating with relevant units to arrange capital and advise on adjusting the investment policy to submit to the City People's Council at the thematic meeting on September 19, 2025.

In addition, the city assigned the Department of Construction to coordinate with agencies to urge, inspect, and monitor project progress, ensuring that conditions for construction commencement are met according to regulations.

Hanoi also requested units to continue reviewing and classifying key projects, completing legal procedures to add to the list of projects to be started and inaugurated this year, contributing to realizing the goal of developing synchronous and modern infrastructure in the capital.

The simultaneous commencement of construction projects on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day not only has symbolic value, but also affirms Hanoi's determination to create a new, modern and civilized appearance.

From the greener park along the To Lich River to the urban railway lines connecting the pace of life, each project is a milestone towards the goal of building a sustainable capital, worthy of the trust and expectations of the people of the whole country.
