On the afternoon of October 29, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Team of Region 27 (Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police) coordinated with the authorities of Xuan Son commune to organize a drill on rescue plans for drowning situations at Suoi Rao Lake.
According to the hypothetical situation, at around 3:30 pm, two people went to Suoi Rao Lake to cast their nets for fishing. While casting their nets, one person suddenly got a cramp and fell into the water amid strong winds and waves. The person accompanying them stood on the shore in a panic and shouted for help.

Upon receiving the news, the commander of the Search and Rescue Team of Area 27 immediately dispatched 10 officers and soldiers along with two specialized rescue vehicles to the scene. The force quickly deployed rescue boats, divided into diving groups to search and isolate the area where the victim went missing.
Just a few minutes later, the “victim” was discovered and brought to shore in critical condition. The rescuers coordinated with medical staff to perform CPR and chest compressions to “restore life”. The entire process was carried out according to procedure, rhythmically and accurately.

A representative of the Rescue Team of Region 27 said that the drill helps professional forces and facilities practice coordination skills, handle quickly and accurately when drowning accidents occur, and ensure readiness to rescue people in all conditions.
