Waterway Police, Thanh Hoa Police: Proactively respond to storm No. 3

Check, review, propagate and remind vehicle owners to comply with safety regulations, especially life-saving equipment and life buoys, and quickly move vehicles to safe shelters.

Present at the Waterway Police Team, Traffic Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police on the morning of July 21, 2025, at the right time when officers and soldiers were guiding ships and boats into safe shelters. Each officer and soldier was highly focused, urgently carrying out preparations and deploying working groups to anchored vehicles to remind and guide them on storm prevention and avoidance.

Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Ngoc Tam, Head of the Waterway Police, Traffic Police Department of Thanh Hoa Province Police, said: To respond to storm No. 3, officers and soldiers of the Waterway Police Team have prepared forces and vehicles on the route according to the "4 on-site" plan, ensuring 24/7 duty to handle any arising situations. Currently, the entire force is reviewing and checking on the routes to detect loopholes and shortcomings of the people to remind and guide people to deploy storm prevention and control measures, limiting possible risks.

In addition to preparing materials and means to overcome incidents and ensure smooth traffic on inland waterways, the Waterway Police force also propagates and reminds vehicle owners to prepare enough spare fuel for operations and coordinate response during the flood and storm season; strengthens inspections of ferry terminals, transport and tourist boats and aquaculture vehicles, and provides guidance and reminders to ensure that all vehicles comply with safety regulations, especially life-saving equipment and life buoys.
