On September 11th, at the intersection of National Highway 12C - the starting point of the Vung Ang - Bung expressway in Ky Tan commune, formerly Ky Anh district, now Ky Hoa commune, Ha Tinh province, a reporter from Ha Tinh Newspaper observed that the sign prohibiting trucks weighing 10 tons or more from using this expressway had been removed.
Vehicles ranging from passenger cars, buses, and small trucks to large vehicles such as container trucks and tractor-trailers, are all allowed to travel on the Vung Ang - Bung expressway.
The removal of the sign prohibiting trucks over 10 tons from circulating on the Vung Ang - Bung expressway was also confirmed by the leaders of Road Management Area II (Vietnam Road Administration) to a reporter from Ha Tinh Newspaper on the morning of September 11th.

According to the Road Management Area II, the decision to ban trucks over 10 tons from circulating on the Vung Ang - Bung expressway falls under the authority of the Ministry of Construction .
The fact that Project Management Board 6 - the investor of the Vung Ang - Bung expressway - installed signs prohibiting trucks over 10 tons from circulating after the expressway was put into operation stemmed from the fact that this expressway was in temporary operation. However, installing the signs without consulting the Ministry of Construction was not within their authority. Therefore, before the Ministry of Construction makes a decision, removing the prohibition signs is necessary and in accordance with the law.

As reported by Ha Tinh Online Newspaper, the Vung Ang – Bung expressway was opened to traffic and put into operation on August 28, 2025. However, at the time of opening, the project investor placed signs prohibiting trucks over 10 tons from traveling on this expressway.
The reason given by Project Management Board 6 (Ministry of Construction) for banning trucks over 10 tons is that this expressway has just been completed and is currently in temporary operation, while the terrain along the route is difficult and complex. Allowing large trucks to travel on the route could lead to traffic safety hazards.
At both ends of the route, the management has installed warning signs, requesting drivers not to drive large trucks into the area.
