How was the 11,000-ton Binh Trieu 1 Bridge lifted?
With 19 steel spans, 20 support pillars. The total weight of the bridge is more than 11,000 tons. The entire giant steel block... is being lifted little by little thanks to copper hydraulic jack technology. After about half a month of construction, up to now, Binh Trieu 1 bridge has been raised more than 30cm compared to the two bridge abutments. It is expected that when completed, the bridge will be 1.07m higher and have a clearance of 7m equal to Binh Trieu 2 bridge.
