"The SEA Games 33 final will be U22 Vietnam against U22 Thailand. The Thais have the home advantage, but the championship will belong to coach Kim Sang Sik and his players," predicted Joseph Heng from Singapore on the Seasia Goal website regarding the team that will win the 2025 SEA Games.
The semi-final matches on December 15th have been determined, including the match between U22 Vietnam and U22 Philippines (3:30 PM), and U22 Thailand against U22 Malaysia (8:00 PM).
Of the four teams mentioned above, U22 Malaysia was considered the weakest, having lost to U22 Vietnam 0-2 in the final group stage match and narrowly advancing to the semi-finals thanks to the spot reserved for the best-performing second-placed team.

Meanwhile, U22 Vietnam, U22 Philippines, and U22 Thailand all won their group stage matches, so the chances of winning the championship are evenly distributed among these three teams.
"I find it quite ironic that the team that lost by two goals in the final match (U22 Malaysia lost 0-2 to U22 Vietnam) is laughing at the team that won by two goals in the final match (U22 Indonesia beat Myanmar 2-0) thanks to their ticket to the semi-finals," expressed John Jerold from Indonesia.
"I'm Malaysian. My heart supports my home team, but my mind has to admit that the final will be between Vietnam and Thailand," commented Nizam Ali, a user from Malaysia.
"I hope to meet you Vietnamese in the final if we both win tomorrow," emphasized Jackie Chawalitapar, a user from Thailand.
"The Philippines are in very good form in this tournament. We have a chance to win the championship if we beat Vietnam in the semi-finals," declared Park Bo Gum, a user from the Philippines.
"I really hope the Philippines will qualify for the final. But it won't be easy knowing Vietnam is an extremely tough challenge, but we will try our best!" added Prince Dela Roca Rosales, also from the Philippines.
"I think the gold medal is unlikely to slip out of Thailand's or Vietnam's hands. I still prefer Vietnam's playing style under the South Korean coach. It wouldn't be surprising if the Vietnam U22 team wins the SEA Games this year," concluded Zul Akmar Md Akhir, a user from Malaysia.
